English _Literacy Block Period

Dear Parents,

Kindly volunteer to be a reading mum or dad for the Literacy Block Period. The Literacy Block Period is a P1 and P2 class reading programme. Parents volunteers come into the school every week for 1 period to read to a group of boys. I have scheduled the Literacy Block Period on Thursdays, from 7.45 to 8.15 a.m.

Interested parent volunteers should be able to commit to the following reading schedule in 2013:

Term 1 Week 3 to Week 9
Term 2 Week 2 to Week 9
Term 3 Week 2 to Week 10
Term 4 Week 2 to Week 3

A storybook will be passed to the parent volunteer prior to the reading session.

The class would require about 6 parent volunteers to conduct this programme. Please drop me a note in your child's diary if you are able to help out.
